Total active listings: 1435

•     114 - Active listings reviewed or 7.9% of total active listings
  
• 98 last update within the last year and / or have activity on their site
•  11 require contact due to unclear status
•  5 duplicates / suspected inactive
  

  Here's  an update to the preliminary results: 

• Albania: up to date as at 19/01/2019
  
•  1 space listed as active of which
•  1 last update within the last year - no action required
• Argentina: up to date as at 19/01/2019
•  2 spaces listed as active of which      
  
• 1 last update within the last year - no action required
• 1 status unclear need contacting, (on hold pending resolution to log in issues)
• Armenia:
• 1 space listed as active of which
• 1 suspected inactive, website dead link, no recent activity - sent them a tweet to check for signs of life
• Australia: up to date as at 19/01/2019
•  12 spaces listed as active of which
• 5 last update within the last year - no action required
• 4 have activity on their site - no action required
• 1 duplicate entry need contacting (on hold pending resolution to log in issues)
• 2 suspected inactive, website dead link, no recent activity need contacting (on hold pending resolution to log in issues) of life
• Austria: up to date as at 19/01/2019
• 13 spaces listed as active of which
• 10 last update within the last year - no action required
• 2 have activity on their site - no action require

Here's what I believe we have up to now - if you had already volunteered but are not on this list then please don't hesitate to correct me):

• Aimee / aimeejulia - Germany + (all active - online sweep, checking for dead links and inactivity + contact only areas where not already covered by other volunteers)

• Pending queries:

• for technical issues to get the pressure off admin is it possible to have these set up on github?
• what would be the best way to signal dead web links? - Dave Borghuis can write a script but needs some help with semantic wiki - Aljaž offered to help - maybe you guys can communicate about this :-)

• if yes send and email to contact to update listing
• if no mark listing as inactive documenting reasons for doing so

I have deliberately left out the topic of categories in this email as the initial process weeds out the inactive listings out first. Once that has been done then the volunteers who visit the hackerspaces can either make suggestions to the people responsible to update these along with other information or volunteer to do it for them.
